The Rainy Day Driving Checklist

Wiper blades:
Your wipes should be your first line of defence during the rainy weather. Make sure to check the blades carefully before sitting in the car. Blades in good condition assist the driver to travel smoothly without any stress.

Wiper Blades:

See Clearly Through the Storm. Your wipers are your first line of defence when visibility takes a hit. Make sure you inspect the cracks on the wiper or fraying on the blade. Test them for smooth and streak-free operation. Do not forget to refill the windshield washer fluid with a water-repellent solution.

If you notice that your wipers are squeaking, you need to replace them. Sometimes, they may appear fine, but in reality, they need to be replaced.

Tyres:

• Check the tread depth that is at least 1.6 mm, but 3 mm is recommended for wet weather
• Ensure even tyre wear to prevent hydroplaning
• Maintain the proper tyre pressure as specified in your car's manual.

Lights: Be Seen, Stay Safe

• Keep in mind that visibility is not just about whether you can see, but also about whether other drivers can see you. 
• Make sure you test all the headlights, including tail lights and brake lights, and turn on their signals. 
• Test all headlights, tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals.
• Do not forget to clean foggy lenses.
• It is preferable to use low-beam lights during heavy rain because high-beam lights reflect off the water, resulting in reduced visibility.
